Junia is a dynamic entrepreneur and the driving force behind Rooted Creative, bringing over 20 years of event industry expertise to every project. Her career began in television production, where she honed her skills as a successful producer and production manager after earning a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Junia seamlessly transitioned her talents to the world of live events, demonstrating a proven ability to plan and execute a diverse portfolio of complex meetings, conferences, galas, awards presentations, and festivals for corporations, non-profits, and trade associations.

A recognized leader in her field, Junia is a member and Past President of the Minnesota Festivals and Events Association (MNFEA), and a graduate of the University of Minnesota Tourism Center’s Festival and Event Management Program. Her commitment to professional excellence is further underscored by Rooted Creative’s memberships in the Minnesota Black Chamber of Commerce, the Saint Paul Area Chamber, and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber.

As an entrepreneur leading three distinct businesses, Junia is deeply passionate about mentorship and business development. She actively leverages resources from organizations including the Neighborhood Development Center (NDC), SCORE, the Metropolitan Economic Development Association (Meda), the African Career Education & Resource (ACER), and Elevate Hennepin. These organizations have played a pivotal role in the growth and development of Rooted Creative, KaiBi Mobile Family Care Center, and Blue Tin Cup Kafe.
